323. When Humanity Is the only Religion
Religions are all man-made and most of us embrace one that we are introduced to from our infancy. The disharmony in the world is more often an outcome of religious differences. Hence one rarely sees people from two religious groupings fighting each other (and I refer to the protestants and catholics, the Sunnis and Shias, the lower caste and upper caste as separate religious groupings.
However, often we come across real life examples of how individuals and sometimes groups look at the larger picture and try to give peace a chance. The time has come for a new religion which has no frills and no fuss. One that focuses on creating happiness and eliminating poverty, one which does not waste wealth on building glamorous houses of worship or making followers pay for its upkeep, one that does not have a holy book but just a page of principles, one that does not support man made beliefs and rituals.
Is that possible? I believe it is. All we need is a shelter that is open to people from all walks of life where they can come with no restrictions 24/7 to experience peace, pray to whomsoever they feel comfortable praying to and are not obligated to offer anything in cash or kind except some of their time.
