287. Welcome to the Southern California
A sudden decision and one the last of the must visit places in my evergreen list of things to do in this country. San Diego and Anaheim and the Amtrak train ride on the Pacific Surfliner truly made it a special weekend. I landed in San Diego and headed straight to Sea World for a day with sea animals and seafood spending time with Killer Whales, Dolphins and riding the Manta.
The next morning I was on a memorable 2 hour train journey to spend some great moments at Disneyland. I had a blast and Space Mountain was the most thrilling of all rides. I am convinced Disneyland is for all ages and will recommend that anyone who can afford the $80 entry fee should visit to appreciate one man’s imagination to dream big.
The third and final day was spent at Los Anegeles, first by visiting the LA Cathedral and then heading to Universal Studio theme park for more rides and shows. It was indeed 3 days, across 3 cities, in 3 theme parks, spending 33 hours on rides and shows to celebrate the big 33. The best part was being a single rider that enables quicker access and one of the finest shows was Waterworld at Universal.
