252. Los Angeles – the city of angels
I brought in New Year last year in the bay area and had promised myself that I would be back in California to visit the southern part and the capital of entertainment – Hollywood. A plan to visit LA was hatched in early December and tickets were booked for the first long weekend of January. Also combined with this trip was a trip to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon for a day each and a little more.
A friend from India who is currently in the US decided to join me and we were glad we had each other to take pictures of our experiences and have some decent company too. Well, there is a lot to do in LA and I decided to devote the first of two days to the Universal Studios amusement park which is worth a visit and currently has a great offer going that gives you unlimited annual access for the price of a one day ticket – great for locals. Every ride was outstanding and the studio tour was truly memorable.
On the second day I took a hop on – hop off bus and covered the Dolby Theater, the Hollywood sign, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach and many other interesting places. I have promised myself to make another trip to LA soon and maybe go to San Diego as well. The best part was the hospitality of my friend and her husband and the beautiful weather.
